Field of Interest Funds support a general interest or a specific geographic area in Erie County. The Community Foundation's Grants Committee accepts requests and recommends projects for funding twice per year, in conjunction with the grant cycle for the Community Grants program. To apply for funding from a Field of Interest Fund, please complete the Community Grants application.The Foundation does not make grants to individuals; distributions from the Field of Interest Funds are made to non-profit organizations only.

Access to Recreation Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to support projects that provide access to recreational opportunities and facilities for people of all abilities in Erie County, Ohio.

 

Buckeye Broadband Fund

The purpose of the Fund is for the purchase of health care equipment by health care providers qualifying as public charities under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). 

 

Children’s Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to provide children who might not otherwise receive the same, medical services, educational rehabilitation and emotional support and such awards for such purposes shall be made to such providers of such services as may be approved by the Foundation. 

 

Huron Playhouse Fund for the Arts

The purpose of the Fund is to carry on the Huron Playhouse’s legacy of creative performing arts in Erie County and the surrounding area with a preference for supporting theatrical projects.

 

Lake Erie Environmental Education Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to support projects such as environmental workshops for students, field trips to The Ohio State University’s Stone Lab on Put-In-Bay, or education programs dealing with local environmental issues.
