Carl E. McGookey

Carl McGookey is a lifelong resident of Sandusky, OH. He is a graduate of Sandusky High School and earned his BS in Accounting from Bowling Green State University. McGookey retired in 2019 after 43 years as a CPA and owner of Payne, Nickles & Company, CPAs. He also served for 6 years as a financial advisor with PN Financial Services, LLC, retiring in 2022.

McGookey’s community activities include Past Treasurer of Serving Our Seniors, Inc.; Member & Chair of the Bayfront Corridor Committee for City of Sandusky; Past Treasurer of the Sandusky Area Maritime Museum; and Immediate Past Chair of the Erie County Community Foundation.

He has been married to Ann for 46 years.
